ENVISION TOGETHER:
LIFELONG LEARNING
Jewish Learning is a Lifelong Pursuit.
Make this your year to explore your Jewish identity through the extensive Adult Education Programs, weekly Torah study, Monday Night Learning and Adult B’nai Mitzvah programs. For your children, our Religious School has a full spectrum of classes beginning with Kindergarten and continuing through 12th Grade, including Parent & Child Hebrew classes and an engaging Jewish Parenting Program. Our Early Childhood Center is one of the area’s finest, offering programs for children 18 months and up, including a warm and nurturing daycare center. Singing, structured play, and age-appropriate activities are all part of your child’s day.
CARING COMMUNITY
Open Your Heart; Lend a Hand.
At Fairmount Temple we strive to study Torah and to “be Torah”! Our “Green Team” makes sure we are operating in an environmentally sound way. Members work together to support one another, take care of one another, and to feed the sick and the hungry. Our CBCO (Congregation Based Community Organizing) Team strives to create a warm and loving home community, and also forge ties with other communities in greater Cleveland. The Talmud teaches us that “kol Yisrael arevim zeh ba-zeh” – all Jews are responsible for one another, regardless of race, gender, sexual identity or economic status. We are “Anshe Chesed, People of Loving Kindness” and we embrace this.
WORSHIP
Opening the Doors of Jewish Life Together.
Experience the spirituality of Shabbat with family and friends while instilling or reinforcing an appreciation of Judaism. Fairmount Temple offers a variety of holiday and Shabbat experiences to give voice to the varied sounds of prayers in our community. Shabbat is God’s gift to us. From contemporary to traditional services… you’ll find a service to fill your spirit and nourish your soul. Inspiring music, thought provoking sermons, special programs, and informal family-oriented services are all part of worshipping at Fairmount Temple. There are monthly contemporary services featuring upbeat music (Kabbalat Shabbat the second Friday of each month followed by a hot’n'hearty oneg) in an informal atmosphere, and monthly services especially inviting to the GLBT Jewish community (Chevrei Tikva Shabbat), and monthly Shabbat service (KIDushat Shabbat, first Friday at 7 p.m.) especially inviting for those with preschool children and grandchildren.
